Tell Power Plants to Clean Up Their Act!

Target: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Sponsored by: Earthjustice.
The Environmental Protection Agency is on the verge of making environmental policy history. Recently, the EPA proposed new clean air standards to reduce industrial carbon pollution from power plants–which is great news for our respiratory health, clean energy, and climate.
However, the dirty air lobby is fighting back to make sure these proposed standards never see the light of day, spending millions of dollars on TV ads, lawsuits, and lobbying to gain congressional allies. We can’t let them win.»
Coal companies and other “Big Polluters” are only concerned with protecting their profits–to them, they could care less about further poisoning our health and the environment.
The EPA’s clean air standards will improve the quality of air, fight climate change and stimulate innovation in clean energy technologies.
Doctors, nurses and public health officials agree: industrial carbon pollution makes smog pollution worse which threatens our health. Left unchecked, the deterioration of air quality will trigger more asthma attacks in children and seniors — and cause irreversible lung damage.
That’s why the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is developing standards to limit industrial carbon pollution power plants — and they’re seeking public comments before deciding to take action.
These new clean air standards would improve the quality of our air, fight climate change and spark innovation in clean energy technologies. But big polluters are spending millions of dollars on TV ads, lawsuits and lobbyists to stop them.
